Twin Brook Farm

We have a weekend place in the hills east of the Napa Valley. It is somewhat remote and secluded at present, but with each passing season the megalopolis we leave on the weekend, and the good-life greed that has taken root in Napa soil, expands in our direction. Several years ago a developer proposed a tourist attraction on the property next door. We are fighting it, but our bit of paradise, like every rural corner of Napa County, will eventually be gone. Not, I hope, before we are.
