A potpourri of shots taken around the Bay Area with the large format camera from the 70's to the 00's. It took a real committment to haul around a 4x5 camera, large tripod, a dozen film holders, and 3 lenses on large mounting boards. It took from 15 minutes to half an hour to go through the many steps needed to take each shot. It was almost impossible to see the photo you were going to take, upsidedown on a very dim ground glass, sweating under a hood filled with your own stale breath. The cost of each shot was close to an entire roll of 35mm film. But to see a transparency 15 times the area of a slide was worth it -- for a while. The difference, unfortunately, is not very apparent on the internet.
Two other 4x5 efforts are here and here.
